Questions about independent hockey, the leagues we play in an the skill levels we compete at?
Q: Is Independent Hockey 'Outlaw'?
A: No. By definition, independent hockey is NOT 'outlaw'. We operate with much of the same rules of play, safety and integrity as any other minor hockey program, without restrictions such as player boundaries. This gives teams within our leagues incentive to offer competitive coaching (often non-parent) and development programs while giving players the freedom and ability to play where they choose. This is why we go to the lengths of offering programs such as
"The Shred", our off-season, high intensity, elite-level, on and off ice training program led by some of the areas best hockey instructors, along with top tier in-season training and development. Learn more about "The Shred" at

Q: Is There a Pathway Beyond Minor Hockey?
A: Yes! Realistically, playing beyond minor hockey is a difficult accomplishment in itself but as hockey evolves, programs like ours, offering skills development and non-parent coaching are highly valued. Many Jr. Hockey, NCAA and CIS coaches and scouts are starting to show preference for players coming out of the independent hockey model.
In fact, we have players attending various Jr camps.
Q: What is the level of play?
A: Our Warlords Hockey ORHL teams typically play at the A/AA level while our WHA Elite teams play in the NAPHL competing at the AA/AAA level.
Below are the two leagues our players compete in. Further to playing in these leagues, it's in our best interest to provide top-tier coaching, training and development, in order to attract and retain top-level talent and compete year over year.
