The timing of the ORHL's announcement to return to non-contact was unfortunate and poorly timed, forcing the WHA to quickly adapt. While we had hoped to focus on finishing the season strong, we now also have to shift our attention to next season. Fortunately, we were able to connect with like-minded individuals and come up with a stronger plan for the upcoming season.

NAPHL Expands with New Tier II Divisions for 2025-26 Season
Burlington, 2-16-25 – The North American Prep Hockey League (NAPHL) is proud to announce an exciting expansion for the 2025-26 season with the addition of a Tier II division at all levels, including Varsity, U16, U15, and U14. All divisions will remain FULL Contact, ensuring the high level of competition that defines the league.
“For years, the NAPHL has explored adding Tier II divisions to its already strong group of organizations. With the inclusion of eight or more new organizations that recognize their level of play, this expansion was a natural next step.” said Anthony Miele, Commission of the NAPHL
Additionally, the NAPHL will allow for mobility between divisions, meaning teams can move up to Tier I if they can compete at a higher level. Conversely, Tier I teams may transition to Tier II if it better aligns with their development needs.
